Past work I’m proud of includes Grassroots Philosophy, a community philosophy discussion group I led from 2018 to 2020.

Currently a Senior Data Scientist with the Thierer Family Foundation since starting as an intern in 2020 on Vivery & Nectar, mostly on

  • data quality for incoming nonprofit data, including deduplication and reconciliation, LLM-driven data preparation workflows, and writing quality testing for team members to onboard 15,000+ food pantry locations into Vivery
  • data engineering for web and mobile application usage with Postgres, DuckDB, Python and SQL
  • dashboard creation with Grow, Observable Framework or other static web sites for internal team and 80+ food banks across the U.S. and 15+ team users
  • statistical reporting including usage forecasts, anomaly detection, Census population differences with PUMS microdata, service area coverage estimates, and summaries of academic studies
  • and data visualization using Observable Plot, D3, MapBox GL JS to visualize web and mobile application usage.
